Liturgical Year 2006-2007
This year Christmas was a challenge. The 4th Sunday of Advent and Christmas Eve were the same day. I am all about still making a change between the two. Thus I sent totally up for Christmas at the beginning of Advent, using snowflakes and some white cloth to make it a little less blue right off the bat. Then come Christmas the all white poinsettias, Christmas lights, and star all appear, and you have a wow factor change in a half hour after Sunday morning Mass.
I liked the Lent banner, and yes, the ribbon symbolizing the hill does all match up angle wise, despite the offset. Easter was simple banners but different, not using any accent color. In fact, there was no accent color at all this Easter. I also loved the side banners with the grape vine around them going from purple to white, Lent to Easter. The simple white and green banners swooping all over the church for Ordinary Time Summer, perfect. Some great flair for a typically simple season.
