Liturgical Year 2020-2021
So 2021 did go much smoother than 2020! There wasn't a strong theme really for this year's designs. The one thing I made point to do was use wreaths out in the body of the church instead of banners, just to mix it up.
Some of the highlights. I enjoyed the Christmas star, though the gold ribbon didn't show up on the limestone wall as well as I hoped. It did look better when the lights were on. The odd grouping of trees and reeds in the back corner was me playing to the live stream which was still going at this point. Same reasoning why the designs were weighted to the left both during many designs. I really liked the red with the palms laid out on the banner going down the steps for Palm Sunday. Gave a very biblical feel to it. The silver design for Trinity-Corpus Christi was originally intended to be an alternate OT Summer design which would come and go as feasts came and went. I got bored with this idea before we got to the Assumption and that was that. I did like the OT Summer banners a lot as well. Love the mixing of greens.
