Liturgical Year 2023-2024
This year was more a traditional sequencing of Advent-Christmas, OT, Lent-Pentecost, OT. Christmas effectively went up at Advent due to the 4th Sunday also being Christmas Eve. In past years this occurred, I ended with a blue heavy Christmas. This time around I decided to go with a white heavy Advent. The centerpiece was the Advent wreath made of garland, which then converted into the Nativity scene at Christmas. The transition worked awesome! OT Winter was inspired by a drive home from the Dells passing miles and miles of evergreens and oak trees along I-94. The Lent design continued to play off the cloth draping down the Altar, this time being anchored by the Crucifix. St Patrick's Day happened to fall on the 5th Sunday of Lent, so I went all in on green, knowing the purple was coming down anyhow.
